Course descriptionThis course uses a case study approach to introduce the high-level architecture and detailed design principles of IBM Tivoli Access Manager for e-business. The course begins with an overview of common security architecture practices and the IBM Tivoli Access Manager solution architecture. The course assumes the student has completed the prerequisite courses and is familiar with the Tivoli Access Manager product family and Access Manager for e-business components. The project management process for developing and determining business and technical requirements is reviewed. After defining design and integration requirements, a high-level solution architecture is developed. User Registry design methodologies and best practices are discussed. You will integrate an Authentication architecture of protected objects with Access Manager for e-business. Authorization Policy implementation using Authorization Servers and the Authorization API is reviewed. A detailed methodology regarding performance, capacity planning and sizing will be outlined. Throughout the course, you will build a real-world architecture design of an end-to-end Access Manager implementation for an Internet-based financial services solution design.
